原因是在原文中有很多幹擾信息，其迷惑性極高，容易使人掉入其陷阱當中。所以遇到這種題型，首先務必明確其所有相關數字它們分別代表什麼，並且關鍵是問什麼，做好相應筆記，不要張冠李戴，盲目作答。尤其是要分清數字中“-teen”和“-ty”等之類讀法的區別：前者為重讀音節“ee”發長元音/ i:/，而後者不是。
